Twicetagram is the first full album by South Korean girl group Twice. The album released digitally and physically on October 30, 2017 by JYP Entertainment and distributed by Genie Music. The music video of the title track Likey was released on the same day.


The album "Twicetagram" is named after the group's Instagram account. The full album consists of 13 tracks. It is available in either matte or glossy of 3 versions.

Background and release[]

On September 7, Twice was seen filming their music video in Canada. Then later on September 25 JYPE confirmed the comeback at the end of October. On October 15, 2017, JYP Entertainment announced the MV trailer and comeback via the 2nd day of "Once Begins" fan meeting and official website. The group would release their first full album "Twicetagram" and single "Likey" on October 30.

On Oct 28, two days before release TWICE released their first msuic video teaser for their title track "Likey". In the teaser the members used a camera to film each other. A day later an album spoiler was released with snippets of each song from their track. On Oct 30, the music video along with the official lyrics was released. Also the insides of the album was released with a picture.[1]

Promotion[]

On October 10, 2017, it was announced that Twice would film an episode of Weekly Idol as start of their full scale activities for the album.

Prior to the release of Twicetagram, Twice held a media showcase for the album at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. It was then followed by a live showcase broadcast through Naver V Live, two hours after dropping the album online, where they performed "Likey" and "Turtle" for the first time, as well as hit songs from their previous albums including "Cheer Up", "TT", "Knock Knock" and more.

The group took their 1st win with "Likey" on "Show Champion" where they expressed gratitude for their fans.[2] The group took more various wins on M! Countdown, Music Bank, Inkigayo, recieving a total of 4 wins.[3][4][5][6][7]

Commercial performance[]

Twicetagram was included on Billboard's 20 Best K-pop Albums of 2017. It placed at No. 19 and was described as "an entire collection of incredible bubblegum hits".

The album and its lead single "Likey" debuted atop both Billboard's World Albums and World Digital Song Sales respectively—the group's first number 1, making Twice the first female K-pop act to lead on both charts. They also rose on the Heatseekers Albums as the album debuted at number 10, one position higher than Signal's peak at number 11.

It reached 100,000 unit sales within three days of its release, becoming the fastest-selling album by a K-pop girl group since 2002, with over 129,000 copies sold in its first week. It is also the best-selling K-pop girl group album of 2017, which sold 320,389 copies at year-end.
